The Post Graduate Diploma in Export and Import Management provides participants with a foundation for pursuing careers in international markets and trade. The program focuses on various aspects of international business practices, customs, policies, and issues such as International Supply Chain Management, Marine Insurance, Export Import Documentation and Procedures, and International Trade Barriers and Risk Management.

Participants also engage in a project on EXIM, allowing them to gain practical experience in international trade. As international trade continues to grow rapidly in various countries, there are numerous rewarding job opportunities available for individuals trained in export-import transactions. Some of the sectors offering ample scope in export management include trading houses, export departments of companies, development authorities and commodity boards, marine insurance companies, export processing zones, export promotion councils, and export-oriented units, among others.

Bachelor's degree holder / Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University.
International / SAARC Graduate from a recognised / accredited University / Institution.
Students who have appeared for final year of examination of their bachelor's degree program and are awaiting results can also apply, subject to successfully completing their bachelor's degree program / graduation within the time period specified by SCDL.

The duration of the program is two years.
The registration period is valid for four academic years.

EVALUATION METHODOLOGY

Each course comprises of an assignment (30 marks) and computer-based examination (70 marks). Students should appear for the assessments on a timely basis and complete the program in the validity period.
Assignments are objective type and are available in the student login. Examinations include a subjective element in addition to the objective part.
In Semester IV, students are required to submit an online project of 100 marks.

AWARD OF DIPLOMA

Diploma will be awarded only after student passes in all elements of assessments i.e. each computer based examination, each assignment and project subject to completion of program duration and fulfilment of all other criteria laid down by SCDL, including payment of all fees/dues.
