Managing Committee (SOES):
|

Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning is a constituent of Symbiosis Open
Education Society (SOES). The Managing
Committee is the principal executive authority of SOES. It is empowered to deal with and take decisions in respect of all
the academic, administrative and financial matters of the SOES and its constituent institutes.

Advisory Committee (SOES):
|
|
The Advisory Committee advises on policy matters pertaining to academics, administration and finance. The members
of the Advisory Committee are experts drawn from various fields such as education, distance learning, corporate
training, and industries. It plays an important role in advising for setting institute’s policies. It is empowered to approve
new academic programs, collaboration proposals and it recommends development and expansion plan of SCDL.

Finance Committee (SOES):
|
|
The Finance Committee is the financial authority of SOES and deals with all matters related to the finance and accounts
of SOES. The Finance Committee is also empowered to consider and approve the annual accounts and budget
estimates of SCDL and SOES.

Central Purchase Committee (SOES):
|
|
The Central Purchase Committee deals with and monitors all types of purchase of articles required by SOES and
SCDL. It comprises of experts in civil work, Information Technology and publications.

|
Academic Council (SCDL):
|
|
The Academic Council is the principal academic authority of SCDL and is responsible for monitoring the academic
activities / matters of SCDL. It has control over and is responsible for the maintenance of standards of learning, training,
research, examination and tests.

|
Boards of Studies (SCDL):
|
|
The Board of Studies is one of the academic authorities and is responsible for monitoring academic activities relating to
the development of course material and other related activities. It exercises general supervision and coordinates
various activities right from introduction of new academic programs up to designing the course content, syllabi,
evaluation methodology, development of question banks, credit policy, standard of passing, etc.

Student Grievance Committee (SCDL):
|
|
A Student Grievance Committee (SGC) has been constituted comprising of all heads of the department for resolving
student grievances. The decisions are taken where no policy matters are involved; recommendations on the issues
involving policy decisions are put up to the Director for approval and necessary action. The SGC meets every week to
resolve student queries promptly and satisfactorily.

Student Redressal Forum (SCDL):
|
|
SCDL has specially provided Student Redressal Forum, a body independent of SCDL headed by legal luminary, to
enable the students to get their grievances, if any, redressed without loss of time and without requiring them to take
legal recourse. The students are therefore advised to take the benefit of Student Redressal Forum. (Please refer to the
