| FIRST NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF PRIVATE OPEN & DISTANCE LEARNING INSTITUTIONS HOSTED AT SCDL,PUNE |

SCDL offered to host the first ever national conference of ODL institutions at Pune and allowed the liberal use of its infrastructure including personnel. The Symbiosis Society, Pune, under whose auspices SCDL functions, offered liberal help and assistance. The conference was held at SCDL on 3rd & 4th April, 2008. In all 15 institutions represented by 20 persons, and 10 invitees participated. Only 13 institutions whom letters of invitation were sent could not participate.
