We have received a number of queries from our students regarding the impact of the Supreme Court judgement in respect of the study centres affiliated
to distant universities.
The Supreme Court judgement dealt with a bench of petitioners filed by study centres affiliated to various government universities of Uttar Pradesh.
The Supreme Court has held that no institution could be in a position to offer professional courses at a place far away from the location of the parent body.
It is hereby clarified and it may be noted that this judgement does not affect Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning (SCDL) as SCDL is not affiliated
to any university.
SCDL offers only autonomous courses and is an autonomous institution. This has been explicitly stated in the SCDL advertisement and prospectus.
