    Corporate–Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (C-PGDBA 2008)

    Introduction

    SCDL offers several 2-year, 1-year Post Graduate programs and 6-month Certificate Courses, which are extremely popular and widely accepted by working professionals. SCDL also has programs specially designed for corporates, developed with an objective of meeting the challenges faced by working students. The C-PGDBA is one such program developed for corporate students in order to provide an excellent opportunity to pursue/enhance a management career.

    Online Services:

    SCDL’s powerful web portal provides unique facilities to all students. Students can:

    • View their profile like name, address, registration number, etc. and can Edit the same if required
    • Verify their academic status like assignment submitted/exams attempted and their scores, fee status etc.
    • Submit online assignments and book exam slots
    • Access important information & instructions regarding exams, assignments, project report and other SCDL activities through a Message Board.

    Eligibility: Graduates in any discipline from recognized University OR Diploma holders from recognized polytechnic with minimum 5 years supervisory experience.

    Registration Validity: The registration validity for C-PGDBA program is for additional 6 months i.e. students may complete the program in 2 years.

    Enrolment Procedure: Students who are interested in joining this course, may approach their HR/Training Coordinator, since all enrollments will be through HR/Training Coordinator of the corporate organization. This course is not offered to individual students.

    SCDL Policies

    • Minimum batch size should be of 30 - 40 students, with a minimum of 10 - 15 students per specialization for course commencement.
    • There will be a one point contact person from the corporate such as an HR / Training coordinator. 
    • In case an enrolled student quits the organization for whatever reasons, his/her admission to C-PGDBA shall be cancelled.
    • In case a student is transferred to another location of the organization, he/she will be permitted to continue with the program only if the program has commenced in both the locations at the same time. Otherwise, the student may shift to SCDL’s regular PGDBA program, only if he/she is in the 1st semester. 
    • Monthly Classroom lectures may not be feasible in case the attendance is less than 10-12 students per class.
    • An agreement (MOU) stating all terms and conditions will be signed between SCDL and the Corporate for smooth functioning of the program.

    AN OVERVIEW OF THE PROGRAM

    SCDL’s integrated learning methodology goes beyond facts and theories, it is a process that teaches individuals not only how to manage organizations, but also how to continually grow and learn throughout life.

    The C-PGDBA curriculum builds a foundation of business savvy knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed.  During the first two semesters, all students pursue common subjects. The third and fourth semesters cover subjects, specific to a particular specialization.

    The curriculum enables students to master the fundamentals of management principles, latest theories and best practices in business. Students are prepared to face a challenging market by getting knowledge of accounts and finance, learning about HR functions, the current market trends and also IT skills to compete in today’s IT savvy world. The students are also made aware of various laws pertaining to business and economics. Lastly the package is complete with business communication which helps students in creating an impact in this competitive world.

    LEARNING METHODOLOGY

    Blended Learning – combining various forms of learning

    • Customized Study Material Books for self study
    • Online learning / e-learningto enhance understanding of key concepts through interactive e-learning modules
    • Monthly Classroom Lecturesat the corporate premises - faculty based learning to promote peer-interaction
    • E-Mentoring - students address their specific academic queries via e-mail to SCDL, to which an in-depth reply is sent by an expert faculty within 2-3 days.

    EVALUATION METHODOLOGY

    Students are evaluated on the basis of:

    • Online Assignments (2 for each subject)
      • Students can submit online assignments through SCDL web site - available 24X7 – www.scdl.net. They can view their scorecard and details of questions attempted immediately on completing the assignment. The online questions are based on application and analysis levels of Bloom’s taxonomy and are developed by subject experts.
    • Online Examinations (1 for each subject)
      • Online Booking: Students are able to create their own exam timetable, choosing a date, time and location as per their convenience.
      • Online examinations are conducted at the end of each semester through Aptech’s ATTEST centers in major cities in India and abroad.
      • Onsite students – Students who may be traveling onsite/abroad can also give the online exam from the foreign country – students will require to inform SCDL ahead of time when they wish to take the exam.  Some responsible person at the client site will need to administer the online exam to such a student.

    DIPLOMA

    • There will be 2 online assignments and 1 online examination for each subject. Each online assignment is of 50 marks out of which minimum passing is of 25 marks and each online exam is out of 100 marks with minimum passing marks of 50.
    • 30% of online assignment marks and 70% of exam marks, will be considered for calculating the final percentage and grade.
