    Admission Procedure

    Students may walk into SCDL with the completed application form, registration fees and all other required documents. If the student satisfies all admission and eligibility criteria, then the student can walk out with the Admission Letter, Identity Card (for confirmed admission) and Welcome Kit.

    Students can also send the forms by post along with the required documents as per check list mentioned on the enrollment form and response envelope. Admission card, ID card (for confirmed admissions) along with Welcome kit is sent to students by post to their communication address, if all eligibility criteria are satisfied.

    (For all post graduate diploma programs, certificate program and advanced diploma program)
      *Copy of the Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate/Mark list of all years of graduation duly attested by a Class I Gazetted officer.
    * Two copies of recent passport size colour photographs.
    * Non- refundable Registration Fee to be submitted along with the application form by Demand Draft in favour of “The Director, SCDL Pune” payable at Pune or in cash (at SCDL office only).

    Application forms sent by post along with registration fee are scrutinized for eligibility. Confirmation of Admission letter, Identity Card (for confirmed admissions) along with Welcome Kit is sent to students if all eligibility criteria are satisfied

    Provisional Admission is given when the application form has deficiencies such as:
      * Documents submitted are not attested
    * Insufficient documents
    * Incomplete/Unsigned application form
    * Lack of Photographs (2 copies)
    * Service Certificate (for Diploma holders and active DEFENCE personnel)
    * Name Change Certificate
    * Visa copy (for Foreign Residents)
    Students admitted on provisional basis do not receive an ID card until their admission is confirmed. They must submit required documents or comply with deficiencies immediately upon receipt of provisional admission letter so as to get confirmed admission. Provisional admissions of students failing to submit the required documents on or before November 20, 2009 are liable to cancellation of admission.

    Late admission may be given with the Director’s approval only. Admission application forms sent after 15 days from program commencement are subject to payment of late fees of Rs. 250/- for Indian Residents and US $25 for NRI and International Students. Late admission fees need to be sent along with the application form and registration fees to SCDL. No late admission forms will be accepted two months after commencement of the program.

    Students can enroll for one PG Diploma program in one academic year. Along with the PG program, students can choose either one more certificate program or maximum two single courses at a time on a single application form. Students should attach/pay separate registration fees for both the programs. Students can only register for such single courses which are not included in their diploma/certificate program. Single course registration is also admissible to persons who have not registered for any other diploma/certificate courses offered by the SCDL. However, the registration fees and programs fees as applicable should be remitted.
